Torispherical Head (Klöpper-Head) DIN28011

6% OR 10% TORISPHERICAL HEADS

What we call Torispherical heads is also known by either Standard End or Decimal end in English. In German, they are known as Flachgewölbter Boden and Klöpper Boden (DIN 28011). These are mostly applied at lower to medium pressure vessels, the latter ofter at larger diameters such as for beer tanks. An example of the application of a lower pressure vessel would be a water tank, for example. We can produce these heads in a diameter ranging from 200 up to 10,500 mm and in thicknesses ranging from 3 to 120 mm.

Semi-ellipsoidal head (korbbogen-head) DIN 28013
We can produce these heads in a diameter ranging from 200 to 10,500 mm and in thicknesses ranging from 3 to 120 mm.
Ellipsoidal head
We can produce these heads in a diameter ranging from 200 to 10,500 mm and in thicknesses ranging from 3 to 120 mm.
Flat Head
Flat Heads are with flat surfaces, which makes them a perfect fit for installations that require flat inside surfaces. Flat heads are recommended to be ideal for no pressure applications. However, when used for pressure applications, these pressure vessel heads may turn out to be more costly than other heads. This is one of the reason why flat heads are predominantly used for storage tanks that stock state of matter at no pressure. These heads are also recommended in applications where lower head heights than ASME F&D heads are needed. We can produce these heads in variable diameters ranging from 200 to 10,000 mm and in thicknesses ranging from 3 to 50 mm.

Decimal end / Klöpper head (acc. Din 28011) / 10% Torispherical head / GRC NFE 81-102

10% Torispherical heads/Klöpperheads are mostly used in pressure liquid (beer, water, juices) containing tanks.

Korbbogen head (acc. Din 28013) / SMS 482

Korbbogen heads are very similar to the Elliptical 2:1 heads. Simply said the Korbbogen heads are the European elliptical heads and the Elliptical heads are the American Korbbogen heads.

Elliptical head 2:1

Elliptical heads 2:1 are very similar to the Korbbogen heads. Simply said the Korbbogen heads are the European Elliptical heads and the Elliptical heads 2:1 are the American Korbbogen heads.

Technical details

Elliptical head 1,9:1 NFE 81-103

The elliptical 1,9:1 head shape is mostly used in the French region. This shape covers the other heads within the range, elliptical 2:1 heads and the Korbbogen heads, by his higher total height.
